A four-week videography workshop for youths ages 13-18 where they learn the
fundamentals of filmmaking, Storytelling, expressing themselves through film and
visual arts, and  experience  community belonging.

Program Summary

Over the course of five weeks, The Youth will have the chance to explore every aspect of filmmaking, from writing a script, operating cameras, audio, lights and editing videos. Projects.

Workshop Project

They will work on various film projects that will allow them to express themselves, with the opportunity to apply the lessons they learned in class. Students are expected to complete 4-5 film projects, from short films, promo videos, documentaries, PSA etc.

Learning Outcomes

Over the program, participants will gain a wide array of valuable life skills, including how to effectively express themselves, becoming role models and peer mentors, networking and collaboration skills, and appropriately managing their emotions. Participants will experience a sense of pride and accomplishment, improved resilience, increased self-esteem and confidence, and a sense of autonomy.

Who we are?

Nunavut Marketing videography workshop started in 2018. This program is top-rated among the youth. Especially in the world we live in with Youtube and social media with so much demand for content.
Our program is designed to teach a wide array of skills and knowledge about filmmaking to allow each participant to express themselves through visual arts and storytelling. Over the program, participants work on film projects on how to express themselves by making their voice and vision come to life. The program allows them to formulate their film ideas, build skills in communicating effectively, talk about community issues, become role models and peer mentors, network and collaboration skills, and appropriately manage their emotions. Also, the youth experience a sense of pride and accomplishment, improving resilience, increased self-esteem and confidence, and a sense of community belonging when they finish the four-week workshop.
